ACL Race conrod bearings for Chevrolet LS and LQ series V8 engines with standard crankshaft. The HX version has extra oil clearance compared with the standard H series and is often used in performance, motorsport and high-output engine builds where increased oil film and improved lubrication are desired under high loads and rpm.
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings are manufactured from high-strength F781 tri-metal material with hardened steel backing, copper/lead alloy and durable overlay coating. The construction provides high load capacity, good fatigue resistance and efficient heat dissipation under demanding operating conditions.
The 8B663HX series has standard width with enlarged chamfers, providing clearance for most aftermarket crankshafts with a larger radius at the crank journal. The HX version also has approximately 0.001" / 0.025 millimetres extra oil clearance compared with the standard H series, making it relevant for high-output LS and LQ engines with increased loads.
