Breaks
Brakes are one of the most important parts of a car when it comes to safety, control, and driving characteristics. Whether the car is used for normal road driving, track driving, track days, or a more demanding performance project, a properly functioning braking system is crucial to ensure the car can brake consistently, precisely, and safely under different levels of load. A good braking system is not only about getting the car to stop, but also about maintaining control, pedal feel, and consistent braking performance.
When upgrading or maintaining brakes, it is important to look at the entire setup and not just one single component. Brake discs, brake pads, calipers, brake hoses, fittings, master cylinders, brake fluid, and accessories all work together as one complete solution. If one part does not match the rest of the system, it can affect braking performance, pedal feel, and durability. That is why it is important to choose parts that match the vehicle’s weight, intended use, and desired performance level.
On normal road cars, the focus is often on reliability, good braking performance, and stable everyday function. On performance cars and track cars, there are usually higher demands for heat management, braking force, and resistance to brake fade. During hard driving, the brakes are exposed to significantly greater loads, and here the right components can make a major difference for both safety and lap times. This applies especially to the choice of brake pads, discs, cooling, and the correct brake fluid.
Sports brakes & street brakes
Sports brakes for road use are a very good upgrade for those who want better braking performance than the original brakes, without the car losing its usability on the road. These solutions typically consist of optimised brake discs and brake pads developed to provide better response, more stable braking, and a more confident feel during spirited driving. Many of these solutions are approved for normal road use and can be installed as a direct replacement for the original brakes without major modification. This makes them an obvious choice for those who want to improve both function and appearance with a sportier braking solution.
Race track brakes
Race track brakes are developed for more demanding use, where the braking system is exposed to significantly higher loads than during normal road driving. These are often complete braking solutions with larger brake discs, more aggressive brake pads, and brake calipers with multiple pistons, which can deliver higher and more stable braking force under heavy load. This type of brake system is particularly well suited for track driving, track days, and projects with high demands for heat management, pedal feel, and braking performance. Some systems can also be used on the road, but this may require the correct approval and registration depending on the car and setup.
