Electronic boost controllers
Electronic boost controllers are used for precise control of boost pressure on turbo cars where more advanced regulation is desired than with a manual solution. They are relevant for optimised road cars, track cars and custom-built turbo projects, where stable boost control, fast response and the ability to fine-tune are an important part of the setup. An electronic boost controller can be a good choice when working towards higher power goals or when better control over the turbo’s behaviour under different loads is needed.
Compared with a manual boost controller, an electronic solution often offers more adjustment options and more precise control of boost pressure. Depending on the system, features may include multiple boost levels, gear-dependent control, scramble boost, warnings and more consistent regulation via a solenoid. This makes electronic boost controllers relevant in setups where more control is desired and where boost pressure needs to be adapted to driving conditions, grip and engine setup.
We have had very good success mounting 3-port valves in this way.
