Turbine outlets
Turbine outlets are the outlet from the turbo’s hot side, where the exhaust gas is directed from the turbine housing to the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust system. They are used in turbo setups where correct fitment between the turbo and exhaust is important, and where fit, flow and installation play a major role in the overall solution. In many cases, turbine outlets are part of custom-built projects, upgrades or the installation of a different turbo than the original.
When choosing a turbine outlet, it is important to ensure the correct match to the turbo’s turbine housing and the desired connection, such as V-band, bolt-on or another flange type. At the same time, attention must be paid to diameter, bolt pattern, port shape and how the outlet fits together with the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust system. A correctly chosen solution helps ensure stable installation and efficient flow out of the turbo.
