BOV flanges

Blow off valve flanges, also called BOV flanges, are used when mounting a blow off valve on charge pipes, intercooler pipes or other parts of a turbo setup where a correct and tight connection to the valve needs to be prepared. The flange is an important part of the setup because it must match both the chosen blow off valve and the pipe routing used on the car. This applies to custom charge pipes, conversions and upgrades where a different valve type than the original solution is desired.

A blow off valve flange must not only match by name, but also in practice. It is important to look at the valve type, bolt pattern, locking ring, diameter, material choice and how the flange is to be welded or mounted in the pipe system. Some flanges are made for specific valves from certain manufacturers, while others are used in more custom solutions where the turbo system is built from scratch. That is why it is important to choose the right flange for the specific valve and the specific setup.
