Fuel valves

Check valves and one-way valves play an important role in fuel systems and brake boosters. They ensure that liquids or gases can only flow in one direction and prevent backflow, which can cause functional problems. In fuel systems, it is important to maintain the correct fuel flow and fuel pressure to the engine, and these valves help control this by allowing the fuel to flow in one direction toward the engine and preventing it from returning to the tank when the engine is switched off.

Brake boosters use engine vacuum to increase braking force. One-way valves in the brake booster ensure that the vacuum is maintained and does not escape when the driver applies full throttle or when boost pressure is present. This ensures consistent braking force and improves braking efficiency. In this way, check valves and one-way valves help maintain proper function and safety in both fuel systems and brake boosters.

Roll over valves are used in the venting system of the fuel system and are typically mounted at the top of the tank or fuel cell. During normal operation, they allow the tank to breathe so that vacuum or overpressure problems do not occur, but if the vehicle rolls over or ends up at a steep angle, the valve closes the vent so fuel cannot leak out through the tank ventilation. Many solutions use an internal ball or a similar mechanism that closes during a rollover, and for that reason this type of valve is especially relevant for motorsport, trackday use, off-road vehicles and other custom builds where fuel tank venting safety is particularly important.
