MaxxECU STREET
MaxxECU STREET is a standalone engine management system for those who want a serious and modern ECU solution for tuning, track day use, and custom builds, but without stepping all the way up to the largest motorsport models. It has been developed as an advanced entry-level platform and is therefore a strong choice for projects where you want precise engine control, fast response during tuning work, and a system that can be used both on road cars and in more performance-oriented builds. MaxxECU STREET can control up to 6 cylinders sequentially and up to 12 cylinders in wasted spark, making it relevant for many 4-, 5-, and 6-cylinder petrol projects as well as a range of engine swaps and conversions.
One of the major strengths of MaxxECU STREET is that it combines important motorsport functions with a manageable platform. The official STREET model includes built-in wideband lambda, a built-in 400 kPa MAP sensor for up to 3 bar of boost pressure, boost control, shift-cut, launch control, anti-lag, flex fuel, internal logging, and an advanced warning system. This means you get an ECU that can be used for far more than just basic engine management, and which suits both turbo builds, naturally aspirated engine projects, and cars where more precise control over fuel, ignition, and engine protection is required.
MaxxECU STREET operates in MTune, which is MaxxECU’s shared software platform for tuning, monitoring, and data logging. This makes it easier to work systematically with setup and fine-tuning, because changes, live data, and logging are gathered in one environment. At the same time, STREET has fast USB communication with PC and internal logging with 8 MB memory and up to 1000 Hz logging, which makes it well suited for both troubleshooting and performance optimisation, where it is important to see exactly what the engine is doing under load.
On the hardware side, you get a compact ECU with 6 injector outputs for high impedance injectors, 6 ignition outputs, 4 extra GPO outputs, 4 extra analogue inputs, 2 extra digital inputs, 2 trigger inputs, and CAN bus. It also has inputs for IAT, CLT, TPS, and wideband lambda directly in the ECU without the need for an external wideband controller. This makes MaxxECU STREET a very interesting solution for projects where you want a relatively compact but still versatile engine management system with good expansion options via sensors, CAN, and additional functions.
