Window nets

Window nets are used in motorsport as part of the car’s safety equipment. They are typically mounted in the side window of a race car, track car or rally car and help keep the driver’s arms inside the car in the event of an accident, rollover or hard impact.

A window net is especially relevant for circuit racing, rally, drift, trackday and other motorsport disciplines where the car is used under high load. It provides extra safety in the cabin and is often required in several types of motorsport, depending on the car’s class and the regulations being followed.

When choosing a window net, you should pay attention to size, mounting, release mechanism and any approvals such as FIA or SFI. The net must fit the car’s window opening correctly and be able to open quickly, so the driver or rescue personnel can easily access the car.
