Coolant hoses

Coolant hoses are an important part of the car’s cooling system and are responsible for safely carrying the coolant between the engine, radiator, expansion tank, thermostat housing and other components in the system. Although they often seem like a simple detail, they are very important for reliability, temperature control and durability. If a coolant hose becomes leaky, soft, cracks or does not fit the setup correctly, it can quickly lead to cooling problems, fluid loss and, in the worst case, overheating.

Coolant hoses are used in many different parts of the cooling system and must be able to withstand temperature, pressure and vibrations over time. Material, dimensions, bends and length are all important factors in whether the hose works correctly in practice. The wrong hose can create unnecessary stress in the system, poor fitment or an increased risk of leaks, while a correctly chosen solution provides a more reliable and better-finished setup. On performance cars and motorsport vehicles, the cooling system is often subjected to greater demands than on an ordinary road car. Higher loads, longer periods of hard driving and higher temperatures make it even more important that the coolant hoses can handle the job. It is not only about getting the coolant from A to B, but about having a solution that works reliably under load and fits together with the rest of the cooling system.

When choosing coolant hoses, it is important to consider internal diameter, construction, temperature resistance and intended use. Some solutions are best suited for replacement on standard setups, while others are more relevant for modified systems, aluminium pipes, special radiators or other custom-made setups. That is why it makes sense to look at the cooling system as a whole, so the hoses and other components work correctly together.
