Goat Fuels

Goat Fuels is a Swedish producer of performance ethanol for cars and motorsport. Their range is built around ethanol fuels developed for users who want more stable fuel characteristics than regular pump E85, and who work with engine setups where temperature control, octane rating, and consistent quality are very important.

In performance cars and motorsport projects, ethanol is often chosen because it can be relevant in setups with high compression, turbochargers, superchargers, or other demanding use where a fuel with good properties under heavy load is desired. Goat Fuels describes its products as solutions for performance use, with a focus on power, cooler combustion, and stable operation. However, it is important to emphasize that engine management and, in some cases, the fuel system must be properly adapted for ethanol use.

In the Goat Fuels range, E85R is developed as a performance-oriented ethanol blend within the framework of the E85 standard. According to the manufacturer, it is based on Swedish-produced ethanol combined with alkylate and additional additives intended to improve combustion properties and provide more consistent operation than regular E85 from filling stations. E85R also contains a boron-based lubricating formula from Triboron, which according to Goat Fuels is intended to protect the fuel system, reduce friction, and contribute to lower heat generation and less wear.

E109R is Goat Fuels’ more ethanol-rich performance blend and is described by the manufacturer as their “E100” product for engines with high compression and high boost pressure. Goat Fuels states that E109R has a higher share of ETBE as well as a smaller amount of alkylate to support starting and combustion properties, and that the product is also developed with a focus on both performance and good storage stability. E109R also contains the same Triboron-based lubricating formula as E85R.
