MaxxECU SPORT
MaxxECU SPORT is an advanced standalone engine management system for projects where a regular street ECU is not always enough, but where you still want a compact and manageable solution for tuning, performance, and motorsport. It is developed for powerful engine setups and is well suited to serious road cars, track day cars, and more ambitious custom builds, where there is a need for more functions, high data quality, and better opportunities for fine-tuning. SPORT can control up to 6 cylinders sequentially and up to 12 cylinders in wasted spark, making it relevant for many 4-, 5-, and 6-cylinder petrol projects as well as more demanding turbo builds and engine swaps.
One of the big differences with MaxxECU SPORT is that it takes things a step further with features such as built-in E-throttle, traction control, and Bluetooth connectivity, while still retaining the important core functions such as built-in wideband lambda, built-in 400 kPa MAP sensor, boost control, shift-cut, launch control, anti-lag, and flex fuel. This makes SPORT a strong choice when you want more advanced engine management and more options for active control of the car’s setup, without moving all the way up to RACE or PRO.
MaxxECU SPORT operates in the same MTune software environment as the rest of the MaxxECU platform. This means that tuning, monitoring, and data logging are gathered in one place, making it easier to work systematically with changes, live data, and troubleshooting. MaxxECU itself highlights MTune as the shared PC software for configuration and tuning, and the documentation also describes built-in diagnostics and engine protection as a central part of the platform. This makes SPORT suitable for both users who want better control over the setup of their road and performance car, and for tuners who want a strong tool for more demanding projects.
MaxxECU SPORT is therefore an obvious choice for those who want a versatile and serious programmable engine management system with modern features such as electronic throttle, traction control, and strong tuning capabilities in an ECU that is still manageable in both size and design. It is well suited to projects where the focus is on precise control of fuel, ignition, and boost pressure, but also where there is a need for better control over driving characteristics, response, and engine safety under load.
