Vacuum manifolds
Vacuum manifolds are used in cars and motorsport projects when vacuum or manifold pressure needs to be distributed from one source to multiple components. This makes them relevant in setups where, for example, you need to route the signal to a boost gauge, blow off valve, wastegate, boost controller, fuel pressure regulator, or other parts that work with a vacuum or pressure signal.
A vacuum manifold makes it easier to collect multiple vacuum hoses in one place instead of creating several separate outlets directly from the intake manifold. This often results in a simpler, cleaner, and more organised installation in the engine bay, while also making it easier to build a functional system around the turbo, gauges, and control components.
In tuning and motorsport applications, vacuum manifolds are especially used when there is a need for stable and practical distribution of vacuum and boost signal. They are therefore well suited for tuned street cars, track day cars, and more specialised projects where multiple components need access to the same pressure or vacuum source.
