Ignition distributors

Ignition distributors are used in classic ignition systems where the spark must be distributed correctly to the right cylinder at the right time. They are an important part of older petrol engines and classic engine setups, where the ignition coil, rotor, distributor cap, and ignition leads work together as one complete system.

An ignition distributor is relevant when the engine is built around a classic distributor system, or when working with restoration, maintenance, or upgrading of older setups. Here, it is not only about getting the engine to start, but also about stable engine operation, correct ignition timing, and reliable function under load. The choice of the right ignition distributor depends, among other things, on the engine design, shaft type, connections, and the rest of the ignition system.
