Goat Fuels E85R is an ethanol-based performance fuel developed for motorsport, track use and tuned cars where more stable quality than normal pump E85 is required. It is suitable for engines with turbo, supercharger, high compression or other performance setups where knock resistance, temperature control and consistent fuel quality are important.
E85R is Goat Fuels’ performance-oriented E85 blend and, according to the manufacturer, contains 15% alkylate petrol. Goat Fuels states E85R at 106.6 octane, giving good potential for optimised ignition timing, higher boost pressure and better use of the engine setup when the car is correctly mapped for ethanol fuel.
The high ethanol content also provides a cooling effect during combustion. This can help reduce intake and combustion temperatures under load, making E85R especially relevant for performance and motorsport engines where stable operation and knock resistance are important.
E85R also contains boron-based lubrication technology from Triboron, developed to protect the fuel system, reduce friction and contribute to lower heat generation in the engine.
Note: Use of ethanol fuel requires the car’s fuel system and engine management to be suitable for ethanol. It may require a larger fuel pump, larger injectors, ethanol-compatible hoses/seals and correct ECU mapping.
