ACL Race conrod bearings for Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ engines with standard crankshaft. The HX version is developed for high-output engine builds where greater oil clearance than the standard H series is desired. The bearings are often used in motorsport, drag racing and high-power turbo builds where increased oil film can improve reliability under high loads and RPM.
ACL Race Series is manufactured from high-strength F781 trimetal material with hardened steel backing and optimised bearing design. Material selection, heat transfer and oil distribution are developed to handle high cylinder pressure, high RPM and demanding operating conditions.
The 6B8100HX series is supplied with identical bearing halves and provides 0.001" (0.025 millimetre) extra oil clearance compared to the standard H series. This makes the HX version popular for high-output 1JZ and 2JZ engines where additional bearing clearance is desired. Correct measurement of the crankshaft, connecting rods and bearing clearance is always recommended before installation.
