ACL Race connecting rod bearings for VAG 4-cylinder 1.4L, 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L engines with standard crankshaft. ACL Race Series is developed for tuning, performance and motorsport, where the bearings are exposed to higher loads, higher RPM and greater demands on load capacity and reliability than standard bearings. The bearings are often used for engine rebuilds, turbo conversions and high-performance engine builds.
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings are made from high-strength F781 trimetal material with hardened steel backing, copper/lead alloy and a durable overlay coating. The material choice, heat transfer and oil distribution are developed to ensure a stable oil film and high load capacity at high RPM and demanding operating conditions.
4B1606HX-STD is the HX version, which means the bearings provide approximately 0.001” / 0.025 millimetres extra oil clearance compared with the H-STD version. This makes them relevant for engine builds where more oil clearance is desired under high load, high oil temperature or motorsport use.
