ACL Race main bearings for VAG VR6, R32 and R36 2.8L, 2.9L, 3.2L and 3.6L engines with standard crankshaft. ACL Race Series is developed for high-load engines and is often used for tuning, motorsport and performance rebuilds where higher demands are placed on the bearings than during a standard engine rebuild.
ACL Race Series main bearings are manufactured from high-strength F780 trimetal material and developed to handle high loads, high RPM and increased cylinder pressure. The bearings feature an optimised bearing design, improved heat transfer and advanced oil distribution, helping to maintain a stable oil film under demanding conditions.
The bearings have a 3/4 oil groove, which optimises the balance between load capacity and oil supply to the connecting rod bearings. Improvements in material, dynamic wall thickness, heat transfer, oil grooves and oil distribution are some of the features that have made ACL Race Series a popular choice among engine builders worldwide. Correct oil clearance and precise installation are essential for optimal service life and reliability.
