Air filters
Air filters are an important part of the engine’s intake system and affect both air quality, reliability and the engine’s overall function. The purpose of an air filter is to clean the air before it enters the engine, so dust, dirt and other particles are not drawn into the intake system. This is important for standard cars, optimised road cars and more demanding performance or motorsport projects, where the engine needs a stable and clean air supply.
In many projects, air filters are chosen based on function, available space and the desired engine bay layout. They can be relevant solutions for replacing a worn standard filter, building a freer-flowing intake system or creating custom solutions using universal pipes, silicone couplers, shielding or other intake components. The right air filter can help support a more efficient airflow path and a solution that better matches the engine’s overall setup.
Air filters are available in many different shapes, sizes and designs depending on the application and mounting options. Some solutions are made for specific cars or airboxes, while others are universal and used in tuning, motorsport, engine swaps and custom builds where greater freedom in the setup is needed. It is important to choose an air filter based on size, connection, filter type and placement, so it fits the specific solution correctly.
