Bardahl 5 Ltr. Racing Coolant
Bardahl Racing Coolant 5 litres is a ready-to-use coolant developed for motorsport and high-load use where stable cooling is critical. The product is designed to improve heat exchange in the cooling system and, according to Bardahl, can reduce engine temperature by up to 15°C during racing. This makes it an ideal choice for race cars, track day cars, gokarts and other projects where high load places extra demands on the cooling system.
Bardahl Racing Coolant helps protect the cooling system against corrosion, protects the water pump and counteracts cavitation, which can occur at high RPM and under heavy load. At the same time, it is designed to help prevent overheating, power loss and mechanical problems without attacking seals, hoses or plastic parts. Bardahl also states that the product is safe for materials including aluminium, magnesium, copper and bronze.
An important detail is that this racing coolant is based on distilled water and is developed for use where glycol-based coolant is not wanted or not allowed. This also means it should not be confused with ordinary antifreeze coolant for year-round road use. Bardahl’s technical information describes it as a product for competition use and states that the system should be drained and refilled correctly after racing.
