Bosch Motorsport pre-filter for Bosch BR540 in-tank fuel pump. This pre-filter is used as the first filtration of the fuel before it is drawn into the fuel pump.

The pre-filter helps protect the pump against dirt and particles from the tank, which could otherwise reduce flow or affect the service life of the pump. It is therefore relevant when servicing, replacing or installing a Bosch BR540 fuel pump.

The connection has a diameter of 13.7 millimetres, and the filter is suitable for alcohol-based fuels such as E85.
