Bosch injector 980cc

980cc Bosch injector for fuel systems, tuning and engine builds where higher fuel flow than standard injectors is required. The injector has a size of 980cc and is suitable for turbo engines, performance upgrades and motorsport applications where correct fuel delivery is important.

The injector is a Bosch 12 ohm injector that is suitable for petrol and E85 setups with higher power requirements. It can be used in many different engine setups if dimensions, connector type, resistance and flow match the specific installation. The injector is often used for larger turbo setups, motorsport and performance builds with high fuel capacity requirements.

When used with petrol, the injector can support approximately 129 horsepower per cylinder, while on E85 it can support approximately 112 horsepower per cylinder. E85 typically requires a higher fuel volume than petrol for the same power output, which means the achievable power per injector will be lower on E85. The figures are approximate and based on turbo engines running at around 90% duty cycle. Actual performance depends on fuel pressure, engine setup, boost pressure, fuel type, ECU calibration and how conservatively the injector is operated.

Note:
980cc Bosch injectors are short injectors and may require spacers or injector adapters in some engine setups, depending on manifold, fuel rail and injector rail.

Note:
If the injector is used with methanol, it should be flushed through with regular fuel after use. It should not be left with methanol in the system for extended periods.
