This applies in terms of sealing, flow, durability and resistance to heat, pressure and the effects of oil and fuel.

Some hoses are well suited to traditional fuels and standard oil installations, while other solutions are better suited to more demanding setups. PTFE hoses are often a strong choice when the system is used with E85, methanol or other fuel types where material choice is especially important.
