This flaring tool is used to make SAE and DIN/ISO flares on brake pipes and other hardline pipes with an outer diameter of 3/16" (4.75 mm).

The tool is suitable for work on brake pipes, clutch pipes and other fixed pipe installations, where the pipe must be formed correctly to fit tightly and safely with the correct fittings and pipe unions.

SAE flare
Also called double flare/inverted flare. Often used on older cars, American cars and many brake pipe systems. The pipe is folded double, making the edge stronger.

DIN/ISO flare
Also called bubble flare. Widely used on European cars. The end is formed like a small “bubble”, which seals against the seat in the fitting or brake component.
