Compressor inlets & outlets
Compressor inlets and outlets are an important part of the turbo’s cold side, where the air is directed into the compressor housing and then further out into charge pipes, intercooler and the intake system. They are used in turbo setups where correct fitment between the turbo, intake and pressure side is important, and where fit, flow and connection play a major role in the overall solution. In many cases, compressor inlets and outlets are part of custom-built projects, upgrades or the installation of a different turbo than the original.
When choosing a compressor inlet or outlet, it is important to look at diameter, connection type, hose solution, flange and how the part fits together with the rest of the turbo system. A correctly chosen solution helps ensure stable installation, good flow and a more well-thought-out setup for street cars, motorsport and custom builds.
