Downpipes

Downpipes are the first part of the exhaust after the turbo and have a major impact on flow, turbo response and back pressure. A downpipe directs the exhaust gases away from the turbo and further through the exhaust system.

An upgraded downpipe can be relevant on turbo cars where better flow, faster spool, more efficient exhaust gas evacuation and a stronger foundation for tuning are desired. It is often used as part of a performance setup together with a sports exhaust, cat-back system and ECU optimisation.
