This lightweight flywheel is developed for those who want to change from a heavy dual mass flywheel to a far more responsive construction. The solution makes it possible to use an extremely durable BMW gearbox and is ideal for both motorsport and converting an automatic car to manual.

The flywheel does not only fit M20, M50, M52, M54 and M57 – it also fits BMW M43 and M44 engines, because the crankshaft bolt pattern is identical and the flywheel centres correctly without modification. However, it requires that you use the correct clutch combination, correct starter engagement and a complete 240 mm clutch solution, otherwise you may experience starter engagement issues or poor clutch function.

For M43/M44, you must pay special attention to the fact that you cannot mix dual mass parts with this single mass flywheel, and that you must use a clutch that matches the gearbox input shaft, as M43/M44 is often used with Getrag 220 or 250. Most importantly: always choose the clutch kit based on the gearbox – not the engine.

The flywheel is prepared for a 240 mm single-disc clutch from BMW E38/E39/E46 M57D30.
