G-Sport GEN2 Advanced – EPA Compliant Catalytic Converter
The G-Sport GEN2 Advanced is a high-performance catalytic converter developed for modern petrol engines from 2017 onwards, where emission requirements and thermal loads are significantly higher than before. The catalyst is EPA compliant and designed to be integrated into emission-optimised exhaust systems for both road and performance applications.
The up to 850 hp rating refers to the catalyst’s catalyti/guide-katalysatorer-emissioner-og-specialgodkendelsec efficiency and thermal capacity, meaning its ability to treat exhaust gases under high power and temperature loads. This does not mean the system will be completely free of backpressure up to this power level. Backpressure depends on the overall setup, including catalyst placement, pipe diameter, exhaust gas flow and total exhaust system design.
The internal 400-cell structure provides a well-balanced combination of emission reduction and exhaust flow, making the catalyst suitable for both standard and tuned engines where effective exhaust gas treatment is still required. The housing is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, ensuring high heat resistance and long service life, even under sustained high-load operation.
The catalyst can be used as part of a system intended to meet Euro 5 requirements for special or individual approval. It should be noted that Euro 5 compliance is not a property of the catalytic converter alone, but of the complete system. Final approval depends on correct catalyst placement, ECU calibration and the engine’s base emission level, and can only be confirmed through testing.
