Intake pipes
Intake pipes are used to guide air through the intake system and are an important part of the setup on standard road cars, tuned street cars, and motorsport projects. They are often used between the air filter, airflow meter, turbo, intercooler, throttle body, or other parts of the intake system where stable and correct pipe routing is needed.
In tuning and motorsport applications, intake pipes are often used for upgrades, custom builds, and adaptation of the intake system. They can be relevant when better flow, simpler pipe routing, or a solution that matches changes to the turbo, intercooler, engine bay, or overall engine configuration is desired. Intake pipes are therefore used both for replacing existing parts and for completely custom-built solutions.
A good intake pipe must fit the setup correctly while also being suitable for the environment in which it is used. That is why factors such as diameter, length, bend, material choice, and compatibility with hoses, couplers, and other intake parts are important when choosing intake pipes for a project.
