Original BorgWarner IS38 turbo for VAG EA888 Gen. 3
This original BorgWarner IS38 turbocharger is developed as a direct replacement for factory-fitted IS38 turbochargers on a range of Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT and Skoda models with the EA888 Gen. 3 engine. The turbocharger is supplied as a complete original BorgWarner unit and is suitable both as an OEM replacement and as an upgrade from smaller IS12 or IS20 turbochargers on compatible engines.

The IS38 is known from models such as the Golf 7 R, Audi S3 8V, Audi TTS 8S and SEAT Leon Cupra, where it combines fast spool-up with high airflow and strong tuning potential. With the correct software and supporting hardware, the IS38 is often used in setups around 350–400 hp, depending on engine, fuel and other components.

The turbocharger is manufactured by BorgWarner as an original equipment supplier to the VAG Group and is developed for high reliability, OEM fitment and long service life. The original construction ensures correct compatibility with the factory oil and cooling system as well as the original mounting points.

Always check the OEM number and engine code before ordering. When upgrading from IS12 or IS20, additional components and ECU calibration may be required.
