Air filter inserts

Air filter inserts are used as the replaceable or maintainable filter part in many different air filter solutions where the filter housing or airbox itself is retained. They have the same basic task as other air filters, namely to clean the air before it reaches the engine intake, so dust, dirt and other particles are not drawn into the system. This makes air filter inserts relevant for standard cars, modified road cars, motorsport and custom builds where a clean and stable air supply is wanted.

In many cars and intake solutions, it is not necessary to replace the entire air filter housing in order to upgrade or service the intake. Here, an air filter insert is a practical solution because it fits into the existing airbox or filter housing. This makes it an obvious choice if you want to keep a more original and shielded setup, while still ensuring correct filtration and in some cases choosing a solution with different properties than standard.
