MechMan 6-phase high output alternator for Toyota Supra 2JZ
The MechMan 6 phase hairpin high output alternator is developed as a strong upgrade for vehicles where the original alternator can no longer keep up with electrical demand. On the Toyota Supra 2JZ and similar platforms, the stock alternator often becomes a limitation, especially when the vehicle is upgraded with additional electronics, fuel systems, electric fans, engine management, audio equipment, or other performance-related components.
This unit is built with 6-phase hairpin stator technology, providing better durability at high RPM and improved resistance to heat from the turbo manifold. The alternator is also equipped with twin rectifiers and 12 large press-fit diodes, which is a major upgrade compared to the original alternator with its smaller 8-diode rectifier. The result is a more stable and more powerful power supply for demanding street and performance builds.
The alternator uses an OEM-style pulley that is suitable for high RPM use, and it bolts directly in place of the original alternator. This makes it an excellent choice for both upgraded street cars and motorsport projects where reliable electrical power is important.
Please note that for proper function, 4 gauge or larger positive and negative cables must be run between the alternator and the battery terminals. For vehicles operating above 7,500+ RPM, a larger race pulley can be special ordered.
