Round oil coolers

Round oil coolers are used in cars and special projects where oil cooling is needed in a more compact or differently configured solution than with traditional long oil coolers. They are typically used in systems where space, design or mounting options make a round model more relevant. This can be in motorsport, tuning projects, custom builds, classic cars, motorcycles or other setups where the oil system operates under higher load and therefore needs better temperature control.

A round oil cooler has the same overall purpose as other oil coolers, namely to help reduce and stabilise oil temperature during operation. This is important because oil does not only lubricate, but also helps transfer heat away from the engine, gearbox or other components in the system. When the oil temperature becomes too high, it can affect the properties of the oil and therefore also the durability and reliability of the system. An oil cooler can therefore be a relevant upgrade in projects where standard cooling is not sufficient.

Round oil coolers are often chosen in builds where a more compact solution is wanted, or where the cooler needs to fit into a specific area with limited space. They can be used in different types of oil systems depending on the setup and connections, and they are seen for example in solutions for engine oil, transmission oil and other oil-based systems. Choosing a round model can also be relevant where a particular look in the engine bay is desired, or in a technical setup where both function and placement are important.
