This Genuine VW/Audi RS4 Fuel Pressure Return Valve (FPRV) is a proven upgrade for EA113 2.0 TFSI engines, especially when running Stage 2+ or higher. It is also commonly used on EA113 K04 setups and as an original replacement part on the RS4.

The FPRV acts as a safety and regulating valve in the high-pressure fuel system. When a predefined pressure limit is exceeded, the valve opens and allows excess fuel to escape from the fuel rail, keeping the system within safe operating limits. If the valve is faulty or rated too low, it can lead to low fuel rail pressure, fault codes, significant power loss, and in worst cases piston melting due to a lean fuel mixture.

Compared to the standard 2.0T valve, which opens at approximately 130 bar, the RS4 version features a 140 bar opening pressure. This allows the high-pressure fuel system to maintain higher fuel pressure, which is essential at increased boost levels and higher power output. The result is a more stable fuel supply and the ability to deliver the required amount of fuel under load.
