Simons catback duplex sports exhaust for Saab 9-5 Turbo 2.0/2.3 Sedan and Estate from 1998-2005, as well as Saab 9-5 Aero Sedan and Estate from 1998-2003. The system is a duplex version with exits on both sides and is mounted after the catalytic converter/flex pipe and rearwards.
The system is made from Chrome Steel and has a 63.5 millimetre pipe diameter throughout the system. The larger pipe diameter provides better exhaust flow and lower back pressure than many original or worn standard systems, which suits Saab turbo engines well.
In terms of sound, the system gives the Saab 9-5 a deeper and more distinct turbo character. The duplex layout gives the sound more fullness and width from the rear, especially on the Aero and 2.3 Turbo models, where the engine character becomes more noticeable without seeming excessive.
Visually, the system changes the rear of the car significantly. The oval duplex 90/120 + 90/120 millimetre tailpipes give the Saab 9-5 a wider, more exclusive and more performance-oriented appearance than a single tailpipe. It suits the car’s large body well and gives a more symmetrical look from the rear.
