Simons catback sports exhaust for Volvo S40 and V40 Turbo 2.0T and T4 facelift from 2001-2004. The system is fitted from the catalytic converter and backwards and is supplied as a complete kit for replacing the original centre silencer, pipework, rear silencer and mounting parts. The exhaust is made from chrome steel, which provides a good combination of durability, price and sporty appearance.
The larger 63.5 millimetre pipe diameter provides better flow than a standard exhaust system and helps reduce back pressure after the turbo. This is especially relevant on turbocharged engines, where more efficient exhaust flow can provide faster gas evacuation, a freer sound and more direct response.
The system gives the car a deeper and sportier sound without replacing the entire exhaust from the turbo. The dual 2 x 80 millimetre tailpipes also give the Volvo S40 and Volvo V40 a more distinctive rear appearance, while still matching the car’s original design style.
