Simons catback sports exhaust for Volvo S40 T5 AWD and Volvo V50 T5 AWD from 2004-2012. The system is fitted from the catalytic converter and backwards and is supplied as a complete exhaust system developed specifically for the all-wheel-drive T5 models. The system is designed for the AWD chassis and therefore does not fit 2WD models.
The exhaust is made from stainless steel, which provides high resistance to rust and corrosion as well as long service life. The large 63.5 millimetre pipe diameter provides improved flow compared to the original system and helps reduce back pressure after the turbo. Lower back pressure can contribute to faster spool-up, more efficient gas evacuation and more direct engine response.
The system is equipped with duplex 100 millimetre + 100 millimetre tailpipes, giving the car a distinctive and sporty rear appearance. At the same time, it provides a deeper and fuller sound without compromising comfort during normal driving. Simons uses free-flowing silencers developed to combine low back pressure with a pleasant sporty sound character.
The system is E-marked. This means the exhaust is type-approved according to European requirements and can be used for road use where the car’s remaining setup and local regulations allow it.
