Simons 040DHG1R is a complete stainless steel catback sports exhaust developed for Volkswagen Golf 6 GTI 2.0 TSI 211 hp. The system is fitted from the catalytic converter and backwards and is designed with focus on low back pressure, improved flow and a deeper sporty sound.
The exhaust is made from stainless steel, giving high durability and good resistance to rust and corrosion. The larger 76 millimetre pipe diameter, which splits into 2 x 63.5 millimetres, gives a freer exhaust flow compared to a standard system. This makes the system suitable for the GTI engine, where lower back pressure can give better response and a sportier driving experience. The rear section is finished with duplex 100 millimetre + 100 millimetre tailpipes, giving the Golf 6 GTI a more pronounced and sporty appearance.
The system is E-marked with EC type E40H5 and can be used for road use where the car’s other setup and local regulations allow it.
