Simons sports exhaust for Opel Insignia Sedan and Hatchback 4WD 2.0 Diesel with 96, 118 and 143 kW engines. The system is a complete kit that is mounted from the original downpipe and backwards. It is developed to give the car a more sporty appearance, lower back pressure and a more distinctive exhaust finish than standard.
The exhaust is made from stainless steel, which provides good durability against heat, moisture and normal road use. The larger pipe diameter helps improve flow in the exhaust system, which is especially relevant on turbodiesel engines, where efficient evacuation of exhaust gases is important for response and operation.
The system has duplex tailpipes with 90/120 millimetre oval outlets on both sides. This gives the Opel Insignia a more distinctive and sporty appearance, where the exhaust becomes a visible part of the rear of the car.
The system is E-marked. This means that the exhaust is type-approved according to European requirements and can be used for road use where the car’s other setup and local regulations allow it.
Note: The system is only for engines with a particulate filter. The diffuser must be adapted or replaced with the diffuser from a turbo petrol model. If the car is missing the body bracket for the right silencer, Simons article 081D6AFT must also be used.
