Simons racepipe 042T38R for Audi A4 B5 Quattro is designed to replace the front silencer 042-38R in Simons 042-H8R and 042-H9R sports exhaust systems. The racepipe provides a more direct exhaust flow, reduced back pressure and a significantly louder exhaust note.
When installed, the front silencer is replaced with a straight-through pipe, reducing sound attenuation in the exhaust system and providing a rawer and more pronounced exhaust note. The racepipe is therefore suitable for motorsport, track use, show cars and other projects where a louder sound and freer exhaust flow are desired.
The racepipe is made from stainless steel with a 63.5 millimetre pipe diameter and is specifically designed as an accessory for compatible Simons sports exhaust systems. It does not fit directly onto the vehicle's original exhaust system.
As the racepipe replaces the front silencer, the EC type approval is not valid when installed. The product is therefore primarily intended for motorsport, track use or other applications where EC type approval is not required.
