This swirl flap plug is developed for BMW N57 3.0 diesel engines and is used to close the hole left in the inlet manifold when the swirl flaps are removed. It provides a simple and precise solution for modifying the intake system on the relevant N57 engines, where a correct and sealed finish is wanted after removal of the swirl flaps.
The plug is installed in the opening left in the inlet manifold after removal of the swirl flaps. It is made from 6060-T66 billet aluminium and is supplied with Viton O-rings, which ensure good sealing and are suitable for use in demanding engine environments. This makes it suitable for repair work, preventative modification and projects where a clean and durable solution in the intake system is wanted.
