This swirl flap plug is developed for BMW N57X 3.0 diesel engines and is used to close the hole left in the inlet manifold when the swirl flaps are removed. It provides a simple and precise solution for modifying the intake system on the relevant N57X engines.
The plug is installed in the opening left in the inlet manifold, and when the swirl flap motor housing is refitted, it helps keep the plug securely in place. This makes it suitable for projects where a clean and correct finish is wanted after removing the swirl flaps.
The swirl flap plug is made from 6060-T66 billet aluminium and is supplied with Viton O-rings, which provide good sealing and are suitable for use in demanding engine environments. It is manufactured with a focus on consistent quality and precise fitment.
