Turbine inlets
Turbine inlets are the part of the turbo’s hot side where the exhaust gas is directed into the turbine housing from the manifold. They are used in turbo setups where correct fitment between manifold and turbo is important, and where fit, flow and installation play an important role in the overall function. In many cases, turbine inlets are part of custom-built solutions, upgrades or when choosing a different turbo than the original.
When choosing a turbine inlet, it is important to ensure the correct match to the turbo type and flange, such as T2, T3, T4, twin scroll or V-band. At the same time, attention must be paid to bolt pattern, port shape, diameter and how it fits together with the manifold and the rest of the exhaust system. A correctly chosen solution helps ensure stable installation and efficient flow into the turbo.
