Uniballs & rod ends

Rod ends and uniballs are spherical joints that provide adjustability and flexibility in the connections and reduce shocks and vibrations, resulting in better control and comfort. Adapters and adjustable tubes are used to adapt the length and angles of components in the drivetrain, making it possible to fine-tune the car’s driving characteristics and response. Chassis steel tubes are solid components that form the foundation of the drivetrain and help maintain the vehicle’s structural integrity. Together, all of these parts play an important role in optimising the car’s drivetrain and improving its performance and driving characteristics.

Uniballs and rod ends are used in many types of motorsport, performance projects, and custom builds where higher demands are placed on precision, strength, and adjustment options than with traditional rubber bushes or standard joints. They are typically used in suspension, control arms, links, anti-roll bar connections, steering, and other mechanical solutions where it is important to control movement and load precisely. In many projects, uniballs and rod ends are a key part of a more direct and mechanically precise setup.

One of the major advantages of uniballs and rod ends is that they make it possible to build solutions with less flex than original rubber bushes and standard joints. This provides a more direct response and more precise control of geometry and movement, which is especially relevant on cars used for track driving, drifting, time attack, rally, or other forms of hard performance driving. At the same time, they make it easier to build adjustable solutions where camber, caster, toe, or the length of links and arms must be adapted precisely.

On road cars, they are often used in more specialised solutions, while on track cars and motorsport projects they are a natural part of many chassis and suspension setups. Here, it is not only about fitting a part, but about building a solution that works correctly together with the rest of the car. Uniballs and rod ends are therefore an obvious choice for projects where you want more precise steering, better adjustment options, and a more direct mechanical connection in the suspension and linkages.
