King CR6640XP0.5 connecting rod bearings for BMW M20, M50, M52 and M54 engines with ground crankshaft. The 0.5 version is for crankshafts ground 0.50 millimetres undersize. Unlike the STDX version, the 0.5 version changes the crankshaft size and not the oil clearance.
King XP Series is developed for high-performance engines and motorsport, where ordinary standard bearings are not always sufficient. The bearings are built as trimetal bearings with steel backing, copper/lead bearing material and King’s pMaxBlack surface, providing high load capacity, improved wear resistance and a stable oil film at high RPM and load.
CR6640XP0.5 is used for rebuilds, tuning, trackday and motorsport where the crankshaft has already been ground 0.50 millimetres undersize. Correct bearing clearance and crankshaft dimensions should always be verified by measurement during engine assembly.
