Motorsport clothing

Motorsport clothing is an important part of the driver’s safety equipment when the car is used for racing, rally, trackday, drifting or other motorsport. The right clothing can help protect the driver against heat, flames and wear, while also providing better comfort during driving. For competition use, FIA approval may be required, depending on the regulations.

Fire-resistant motorsport clothing is made to provide extra protection in case of fire or high heat. It is often used together with other safety equipment such as helmet, HANS, harness and racing seat, where the full safety setup must work together.

When choosing motorsport clothing, size and fit are important. The clothing must fit correctly, allow good freedom of movement and work together with the car’s other safety equipment. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can negatively affect both comfort and function.
